Efforts are consistently made by coaches to ensure that everyone plays, with consideration to position played and other factors (such as missed/excused practices) that may affect time of play. Our goal is consistent with the league motto - "Just For Kids". If you have questions, please talk with your player's coach.

HYFB Grade Level Statement 2011

For the 2011 Hartford Youth Football season, the All American Youth Football League has authorized two teams at the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade levels. In an effort to provide our kids with optimal playing opportunity and well balanced teams, our coaching staff alwaus reserves the right to work with parents to identify players who may be moved up a grade level. This is a common practice and is based on size and ability, and is done consistent with league rules. Players will not be moved without parent and player consent. We believe balancing players across team levels will improve playing time at each team level, and help keep our program competitive. It is not our policy to turn any players away from the opportunity to play football.

Coaches will follow guidelines established by the board when considering movement of a player. If you have any questions or concerns, please discuss them with the head coach from the grade level you wish to speak with.
